I'm thinking about getting a 02-10 Ranger 4x4 next spring. Wanted to hear from anybody who owns one of what they think of them.

I love the FX4 versions like the pic below. Hoping to find one for less than $8k.

thanks

Sorry, I can't help myself.

The Ford Motor Company is giving away a dog with every new Ford purchase, that way you have someone to walk home with.

I was thinking the reason for the heated glass in the back window.
So the guys helping you push it off off the road don't get cold hands.

Reminds me of the old Ford TV commercial:
97% of the vehicles sold since XXX are still on the road.
Guess that must of meant 3% actually made it home!

I hear the Ford passenger side mirror has a warning printed on it:
WARNING! Objects in mirror may be dumber than they look.

FORD - Found On Road Dead

FORD - First On Race Day

FORD spelled backwards is: DROF - Driver Returning On Foot

FORD - Ford Out Runs Dodge

GMC - Garage Man's Companion

Chevy Trucks "Like a Rock"
AKA - Looks Like a ROCK - Runs Like a ROCK

There R only Two Kinds of People in this world:
Those who have enough Intelligence to OWN a Ford
And those who DON'T

That was pretty unnecessary. Anyhow, back on topic.

I havent heard anything bad about them except to expect bad gas mileage which I understand, it is a truck after all. And apparently get the 4.0L or nothing.

I have a '99 Ranger 4.0 2wd automatic... And I love it.. I myself have been looking at new trucks and have been looking at 4x4 rangers, then again.. I am a ford guy..
It may not be made with real tornados.. But it still gets the job done if you use it within its limits ;)

I just traded in my 2006 Ranger 4x4 Sept. 1 I bought it used back in 2006 and had no real complaints with it. Gas mileage wasn't that great, 16-17 mpg with 4.0 L and 5 speed man. trans. All in all, a pretty good truck.
