Julius Schmid had two sons that took over the business when he died - I show he died in June 6, 1939 (maybe I need to correct Wikipedia)
One son was Julius Jr. and he died in 1960. I have found a reference that he had no children and his widow's name was Hazel. She was born about 1902. So she is a possibility to be your Mrs. Julius Schmid but I haven't been able to make the firm connection so it might be someone else ....
Good job Bramble! Were you able to find a marriage certificate for Harry Joseph King on that date in DC?
Breezie
Thanks for the added information about the name change, interesting.Happy to helpIt was lucky there was the tree posted with so much info. Neither Harry or Hazel have any children listed. Here is some of the details about Harry w/ an entry about the name change too.
And I'm female btw... just didn't want to leave the "gentleman" title hanging out thereThank you though!
Washington D.C., late October, ehh... pretty good for DC standards, only off by a couple months or so. Yes they do look like a sweet ole couple. She was almost 12 years his senior too.Great work Bramble! Way to go!
So according to Ancestry.com, they got married in 1969 instead of 1968. They look like a sweet lil' ole couple.Breezie
