Yesterday was a killer day. Got up to go detecting at around 6:00. 6:10 the phone rings. A guy named Kevin and not my dive partner. I answer and find out there is a cell phone in a marina on the way to where I was going diving. Told him I would be there by 7:30. Kevin comes over and we load up his gear. Get to the marina and I suit up and get his phone that swam under the boat. It still worked great.

Go diving for two dives. AGAIN, Kevin finds the gold. A nice old 10K ring with a light purple stone in it. Very nice at 2.58 grams. I get silver. Don't blink! Smallest silver cross I have ever found. I also got a no date buffalo and a 44 wheat. One interesting find was the train flattened penny made into a pendant. I guess it was made when money was scarce. No clue as I can't tell if it is a wheat or an indian.

Get to the airport to pick up my grandchildren. Since they are unaccompanied minors I had to go to the gate. I always opt out of scanners. I won't touch one. I figured since I was just picking up my grandchildren I could leave my gun in the truck and keep my holster on. That worked but they seemed inconvenienced. Made me take it off to put it through the X-ray machine? LOL invisible gun I guess.

Got my grandsons and then went to a marina to get a pair of sunglasses. Got them and headed to my boat. Went out to Strawberry Island to get an anchor. Wind was blowing hard but we got anchored and I found it. Got home at 9:30. I was supposed to get another phone but she wasn't near her phone. Getting it at 10 today.

The sunglasses and the two phones were new calls yesterday. I got a nice payday with less than 15 minutes of playing. But I am totally beat today. Need to get this phone but I hope no other emergencies. I need to relax with my grandchildren.

Sounds like you had a do-it-all day. Nice finds.

I LIKE THE PIC OF YOUR INVISIBLE GUN, WAS IT LOADED ?.....:tongue3:

Congratualtions on the productive hunt! :occasion14:

Getting the grandkids was the best treasure you picked up that day. :icon_thumleft:

Congrats of the other finds too! :occasion14:

Nice finds. Congrats. Now you can relax with the grandkids.

You're living the dream Scuba! Congrats on finding those phones, glasses and anchors...what would those ppl do without you!? Airport-I travel for work, was running behind one morning and the TSA crew was having a field day...the woman in front of me had NO I.D.! They had to rummage thru every bit of her baggage, xray both laptops (business woman with no i.d...?)...im watching the clock, I board in ten minutes. To get thru that mess, all I carry thru is my "man purse", just a small, zippered camo pouch I carry my wallet, meds etc in. ..and they PULL it for inspection!! I'm fuming at this point...bag sits there forever while FOUR TSA techs finish shaking Ms. no i.d. down, finally, a girl grabs my bag, unzips one side, pulls out my unopened bag of peanut M&M's, wipes that wand all over it, xrays it (again)...tosses it back in and hands it to me "Have a good flight!...ugh...M&M's. Ddf

Up in the UP should you buy a nice jar of Thimbleberry jam at $10-15 the TSA guys take it off you. Wonder if they own the Thimbleberry stand next to the airport!! grin....

the grandkids ought to be taught to have cold beers ready

Nice buff especially. Dang! People are losing all kinds of things. That's cool that you've helped so many people now that they are finding you by reputation.

Sounds like a heck of a day Scuba. You better take the next week off !
