Detector(s) used
fisher F2
Inoticed yesterday that i was getting intermittent high pitch tones (dime, quarter) on my F2. but it would only sound off in one dierection then it was lost. the area was kind of brushy. i kept scrathing my head untill i reached down to wipe some dirt off the top of the coil and tapped the wire coming out of the top of the coil. and it made the tone i was hearing.

then i wiggle the wire and confirmed it.
i figure this isnt normal. is it? also it was the 4" coil that came with the detector.

The Los Banos address is old, they're owned by First Texas now, the same folks who make BH md's. Go to the Fisher Research Labs site and you'll get the new address and contact info.

I've contacted fisher labs by email. and got a response that the matter was being looked into. and would try and be adressed in a timely manner. this was close to a week ago. and still no word. i purchased the detector form kellyco. but i think this would be a fisher issue. has anybody else had the same experiance with fisher. or am i being impatient?

There was another user on TNet who was having issues with Fishers and coil wires and things... it was awhile ago tho.

How long have you had the detector? This IS a Fisher Issue, but if they're not being responsive then we can always throw our weight behind you to get some answers. Let me know when/if they reply,... but this is probably very frustrating and if you're tired of waiting I'll try to see what we can do.

PM me your name and mailing address and I'll look up your order and see what we can do!
