Haven't been able to find this exact one but here's a similar one from http://zippogallery.com/Personalities.htm with a picture and brief description below:



"Rare Zippo with the image of Martin Luther King Jr. and "I have a Dream". It has the original price sticker for $6.00. The Zippo is dated 1974, six years following the assassination of of the civil rights leader in 1968 who has since become an icon of human rights."

Thanks ,it must be pretty rare ,I found two that had sold on Ebay like the one you posted for $72.00 and one sold for $150.00

Not trying to be a smarta-- but, I don't see where that link has anything to do with this lighter??
Just key words (Zippo lighter, Martin Luther King, and "We Shall Overcome") that happened to appear on the same page as the result of a google search.



Do the date marks on the bottom of the lighter match the era of the speech (1966)?

They should be either 1966- | | | | | | | |

or 1967- | | | | | | |

or maybe even 1968- | | | | | |
