Any Venice Beach (FL) Hunters?

Anyone down that way care to meet up for a hunt or two? Shoot me a pm. I'll be down that way with my Excal and hopefully non leaking at pro or my sov as a backup. Don't mind hitting the beach alone but would love to get together with another detetectorist or two for a group hunt one morning or night!

Hmmmm lets see... I worked Nokomis / Venice / south... for ehhh around six months.
In the late 80's... 89 to be exact... heh... I THINK> :P

I know of a guy who found a gold box with an emerald cross south at Caspersons area.

Estimate value... back then mind you... over 360 k.

I have not been able to locate the article online... of ourse I have not looked in some time... years even... but he was in a TH magazine over the find.

He worked that same stretch of beach for years before that day that changed his life.
