How would a pre-columbian figurine have ended up in your couch anyhow?

I'm not even a novice here, but I'd say it's probably not more than 100 years old. "I" would even hazard to guess less than 50 years old.

Therefore, it's most likely some priceless, ancient artifact!! :headbang: :laughing7:

Well not much to say about it, the story goes that it was found off puerto Rico by a treasure diver and had quite a bit of material build up in the cracks but over the years its dried and the sand fell away but honestly it can't be verified. At first I thought it was a modern reproduction but I have no doubt its real and super old I have my reasons, first of all you can't find any thing like it on the web and if it was modern you would find more on the internet. I think it might be like the one in this link below. Tell me if you agree. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.

I don't know what you have and many have been faked especially since the Pan American Highway began.
People working on the highway found relics and sold them. Who knows what Mexico's laws and enforcement were then.
More recently my understanding is mud is used in groves and details by counterfeiters to appear that the finder just dug it up.
I was given two pieces that had the mud filling groves etc. but that was 35 years ago so who knows, they might be real.
Only a qualified archeologist could determine it's authenticity and a good fake might give them a hard time.
Counterfeiters have an incentive to do good work.
