The shield depicts a Thunderbird in the top left and a Fleur De Lis bottom right.

Odd combination: Thunderbird is Native American. Your symbol is more symbolic than most representations I've seen. Actual thunderbird was the California Condor, and was native on the West Coast at least as far north as the Columbia River Gorge. Fleur-de-lis nearly a national symbol for France, but with other implications as well: see DaVinci Code for more.

Hello engine823. You must be new to the What Is It Forum and you are most certainly welcome but we need to see pics of the front and back with something for size comparison. ;D http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,259110.0.html

It will also help to tell us how and when you obtained this item. Thanks. :icon_thumright:

I know people have a life with other more important things to do, but it helps to login, read the replys and answer peoples questions. ;D

If the poster post something and everyone works hard at solving their item for them and they do not check back since posting 8-28 why even bother? ???

I'm watching it but really have no new info to include. Thanks all for the ideas! :icon_thumright:
Maybe I missed it but I cant find the answers to these 3 questions. :icon_scratch:

1- Any markings or clue of any kind on the back?

2- What size is it?

3- Where, when and how did you obtain the item.

Thanks in advance

OK very sorry engine I did miss it. I see in the first reply that you say there are no markings. I guess there are no clues either. Always best to post a pic of the back. Sometimes a solder mark will reveal its use. Ive also seen markings in the past so small or corroded not visible to the poster. Maybe answering the other 2 questions will help.

With what we have, Im going to guess modern key chain... but if its very small, I go with zipper pull. :dontknow:

Looks like a class key to me, was very common for students to order one at the same time they ordered their class ring. Or at least it was many years ago when I got mine.
Would suggest, doing as search of high school logos and would bet if you looked enough you would find it.

School logo sounds great but its odd that there is no manufacturers mark or at least a partial stamp of one. :dontknow:
