I'd say you are leaning in the right direction. As you know, modern "Fashion" buttons tend to show weak detail in the emblem, because they are cheaply-made imitations. Genuine antique Coat-of-Arms buttons have sharp detail, such as showing a read-able motto on the ribbons, the animal looks quite realistic (not like a two-dimensional cartoon character), and the crown is sharply-detailed enough to identify the nation it represents.
