It says... Boy Salesman and Liberty on the bottom...

creskol is right they are given out by liberty magazine in the 30s to boys who were salesman selling magazine subscriptions and other products to win prizes.

All I can add is that the Green Duck Company was located in Chicago, and made medals and the like. They were in business from 1906 until
the 60's. They also made some early Illinois vehicle tags and license plates.

They moved out of Chicago in 1962, and relocated to Hernando Mississippi, until they closed in 2004.

They also made the "clicker" things that people use to train animals - specifically for training dolphins at Sea World actually. They also made election buttons, Mardi Gras dubloons and slot tokens for casinos.

So, you know your medal is inbetween 1906 and 1962.
