Hi relic it does appear to be that grayish patina. What color? corrosion gray?
These are very common, and im glad, as 25hp motors on up to 60hp generally have no power trim unless custom ordered with motor. these struts are a lifesaver on the back, and keep some tension off of the saddle during transport in the raised position.Hi relic it does appear to be that grayish patina.
Thanks relic and everyone that took time out to view this find! Great to have folks with knowledge of mechanics because I don’t. All I know about boat/car engines is how to put gas in them and start them. Thanks again! These are very common, and im glad, as 25hp motors on up to 60hp generally have no power trim unless custom ordered with motor. these struts are a lifesaver on the back, and keep some tension off of the saddle during transport in the raised position.
that being said, it could be off of anything that needs lift assistance, but the bottom is exactly how they look when they come off of an outboard.
