Any ring experts around?

It looks like a wax seal ring, probably from the Medieval period. This was used to sign papers by putting a blob of wax on them, imprinting them with the seal! Is the design on the ring raised, or carved in the ring, in the first photo it looks carved in If it is carved in, than it is most likely a Medieval was seal ring

Here is a photo of a Medieval wax seal ring:

That is an outstanding find :icon_thumleft:!

Yep, it's carved. The location has been farmland since late 1500's and has been inhabited since stone age. Someone i showed this believed that it could be from the crusader period (1100-1300AD) because of the type of cross it has. But i think that type has been somewhat popular later as well.

If it is a seal ring, i wonder who or what it belonged to. Doesn't have any initials on it. Church possibly? Or perhaps templars. :p

I also found a coin dating to 1751 not too far from it but the ring was at almost double the depth.
