Looks similar to a project I did at School.

how weird. my Dad used to have an identical one sitting on his console tv when I was a kid, so it dates to the late 60's or early 70's. I don't recall where it came from, but I remember the artist supposedly made a similar type piece called 'the naked eye'. I haven't been able to find anything on the net about either one or who made or sold them. I think my brother took the dolphin with him after my folks passed away.
