Just wanted to say hello from maine! Where there are plenty of artifacts.but you really earn them.none of this walking the plowed fields.you grab a map and hit the waterways.I started around oquawka,ill. On the mississippi river.very easy pickings and a good place to start.good luck to all that share my passion.

Thanks for the welcome tnmnts.will send some pics soon.after losing my entire illinois collection in a maine house fire I have my maine finds on exhibit at a local library-cultural center.they are on loan and for all to see.a win-win situation for me.thanks again.
