Any Information on the shipwreck PRINS MAURITS wrecked off New York in 1657?

according to sources the dutch vessel PRINS MAURTIS -- wrecked near fire island --- her cargo was dutch immigrants headed for what was then known as "new amsterdam" (modern day new york city) records say that local indains assisted in helping the all of immigrants and crew to safety ( since there was no loss of life--- she most likely ran around in shallow water and was emptied of crew ,and cargo with little of value left behind -- is a good guess*) hope this helps --- Ivan

The above letter ref. Secatoag, but there are different spellings.
Sometimes its' 'Secatague' (also known as Secatoag, Secatogue) - Located at Islip, New York on the south shore
If you look at old maps of long island they show another section of fire island that has a break in it just south of Bellport that doesn't currently exist.
