Okay....this is one of our storage unit finds from this weekend. I am really hoping someone can tell me more about it. I think it is very neat but I do not know what language is on it or what kind of coins those are or anything. Would love to know more about it before I try to sell it and I figured you guys would be more likely to know than anyone else I know! Isn't it cool!!! :D

british large penny george the VI was from the 1936 to 1952 era--- (on these coins the date is on the back ) those are fairly newer ones --- queen victoria II after 52 till they quit mading them and george V was on it prior to 36 (he was the one who "gave up the throne for love") -- there was one other before george the V --the "words" are in "latin" by the way --and basically put ---(name of the person on the coin) "by the grace of god" / (king or queen) ruler of britain (england)/ ect,ect

the 2 "maps" are modern "reproductions" of old dutch and spanish type sea charts

hope info this helps you out -- Ivan

Here's another pic of the upper right corner map:

http://www.mapshop-hamburg.de/thema...Nordertheil_des_Amptes_Gottorf__Anno_1649.php

Nordertheildes amptes Gottoff 1849

And here is the roughest partial translation from German that you'll ever see:

Standard 1:95,000 Johannes Mejer (1606-1674) carried out 1638 to 1648 Kartierungen of the dukedoms Schleswig and Holstein in standards between 1:60,000 (Eiderstedt) and 1:375.0000 (Holstein). 1652 appeared the cards in "" Newe country description of the zwey Herzogthümer Schleswich and Holstein""
Also well known as a "" Danckwerth-atlas"". The copper disk the widow Danckwerths sold 1657 at the firm Blaeu in Amsterdam. 1662 were reprinted many cards in the "" atlas major"", whereby up to few exceptions of the titles latinisiert wurde."

* nice work by the way ---good research type work ---- german is the "base" language of the dutch and yes the map is of the main "german / dutch area" thats the squarish one on the right --the round one(left) is a "reproduction" of a very old spanish original and is of the "world" as they knew it way back then -- Ivan
