Any Info On This?

I'm new here and found this in Florida in 1995. I was told by the jeweler that cleaned it up it was minted in Lima in 1710. I made the bezel by using a jewelers saw on a 1 ounce ingot and soldering it together. Crude, and needs cleaning badly, I know.

Digger,

Looks like an 8 reales...Mexico Mint, not LIMA.
The cross is not a bar-end cross or an earlier plain cross no bars...it is a globed end cross telling you Mexico mint.

I have [had?] reason to believe it came from the Plate Fleet Wreck of 1715, is that possible w/ Mexico mint? I found it right off a known wreck site. There's a long story here for maybe another time.
