I am trying to find out
more about these clay figurines I acquired through a Bric a Brac job
lot. I have tried myself to research these and cannot find anything
about them, who made them or where they came from.
I have 3 figurines, two still show the makers mark on the back.
Thanks in advance. CIMG9376.webpCIMG9381.webpCIMG9379.webpCIMG9400.webp

If you just glance at or zone out on the one in the center of the first pic it looks like he's holding a hotdog with mustard on it...lol. I thought that can't be old! Then I realized that's not what it was. I'm not sure what those are, the writing looks Asian or Arabic or something. They are interesting!

LOL! I also thought it was a hot dog! Any chance they could be Native American? I've never seen something like that; they look cool.

The female one looks like it could be native American but the two men don't look native American at all too me, they look more Asian to me. The material is something native American would have used but so would a lot of other places & people too. The female & baby also look more worn or sloppy than the other two look.

Interesting for sure. They look old as dirt and that can be a good thing.

Thank you all for your comments i'm quite baffled by these, as inspector gadget said the female one does look native american while the other two seem arabic or as someone else said from the holy lands somewhere she is not as detailed as the male figures also the male ones have painted downward stripes and the female and child are painted with circles not sure if there is a significance to that but they are very strange.
