Peytonsburg was a nice size town/village durning the Revolutionary war, George Washington stayed in Peytonsburg Saturday-Sunday June 4-5 durning the Southern Tour of 1791, There was a Military prison, Traven, Blacksmith shop, Court house, County cemertery, it was a wagon train depot, Warehouse that made canteens, I have found what i believe to be a homestead that may have been on the outside of town, so any info would be Great. I have had no luck find the town itself
