It's a 5 cent in merchandise token from a coal company in Packard KY, good for use in their company store. Booth Blue Gem coal company. I found info on the company, they were in business for only 5 years with 20 employees. How the heck this token/coal scrip ended up in my backyard in Ohio is crazy to think about. Anyway, I cannot find any info on this particular coal scrip. Any help or info would be great. Thanks. Not the best images. tokenfront.jpgtokenback.jpg

Nice find, & great link Mackaydon.

the 5 cent denomination is not listed in the 4th ed of Edkins scrip catalogue. A 10, 50 & $1 are listed with same wording in brass. Would you let us know the diameter in millimeters?

the rarity will be the highest R-10

thanks for posting this! Congrats!
