Found this at an old home site at the family ranch. The center of the cross is approximately nickle size. Haven't been able to find much info on this distillery on the net but it appears this is some kind of label for either a jug or bottle. The top left corner says Trademark, the center has Anderson Distillery Company Louisville Kentucky, Hand Made Sour Mash Fire Copper Whiskey. Good possibility that this old home site dates to the mid to late 1800's.

Can't imagine that on a bottle or jug. Maybe from a wooden box that had a bottle in it?

Didn't think about a tag for a crate or shipping box, thanks guys.

Could be part of a liquor I.D. tag (missing the chain) that would be placed around the neck of a glass decanter.

Cool find!

All good suggestions, been trying to find a picture of one of the bottles or shipping crates but been unsuccessful so far.

I have one (in worse shape) just like it. I believe they were mostly used on barrells.
