Any Ideas

I found this while detecting some private land near Tannehill State Park.The object is a little larger than a quarter at the base and bout 3/4 inches high.

Possibly a boleadora ? Part of a weapon (Indian/Eskimo)- several would be teatherd on a pieces of string - hurled into a flock of birds . Then there would be dinner .
