Yea I thought about mics. too. Not for a # reading but fot checking a size and then comparing. That is unless there are # readings on the shaft inside. The walls of the one that has only half a shaft are very thin, not good for holding much weight if it is a hasp.

Parachute harness hardware from the 40's or 50's is my guess ?

I beleive that the item on the left is a "screw shackle". These are used in the rigging of sails on sailing ships, and are still in use today.

The item of the right looks like a "snap shackle", also used in rigging sailing ships.

Looks like cica 1950 style, but I am unable to find a reference for this style.
