Dug this tonight any ideas I’m assuming it’s lead as it’s very heavy and looks like a giant musket ball 49891FDB-5B65-45C0-B16A-23EB8E2C1888.jpeg77739CCF-E6E3-487B-B918-7579352206E5.jpeg

I have one like it that never got IDed here. Mine is about 1" in diameter. I hope it is grape or canister shot.

I too have found the occasional unidentified 'iron ball' on homesteads, to date I've only had one conclusively identified as War of 1812 grapeshot.
I hope your find turns out to be the real deal, we all deserve to find a cannonball at least once in our lives.

Here's a pic of the two I've found.

I will get measurements /weights the interesting thing is the spot I found it has been a ice cream stand since I was born before that a old house/hotel that’s all anyone knows however about 150-200 yards north is a 1700s house that I know the main branch of the cont army stopped at entities to Philadelphia PA after the rev war ended as a riot had broken out they were allowed to stop and cook n eat their provisions on this lawn back then it was probably all one property and I googled awhile back how many soldiers were in the cont army and it was somewhere around 10000-12000 mine looks in perfect condition and I think is all lead like a musket ball sometimes I find musket balls in the same shape I’ll be curious to find out that would be pretty cool picture red dot is where I found it blue is the 1700s house 6A5A0F99-B426-4DFF-8809-A9BFEF6D898F.jpeg
