. I found this this weekend in a old farm field that is now mature hard wood Forrest. The site goes back to the late 1700s and was inhabited till 1940s. I am not sure what type of metal it is. It is nonferrous and heavy for its size. It kind of reminds me of lead but doesn't have the softness of lead. It is broken in on both ends. Notice she slots on both sides of this thing. What is it? I am stumped.
