Couple of pieces i'm not sure about? Found in an 1860-70 site. Both are brass, small one is the size of a button, long twisted thing is about 5" long. Thanks for looking.

I'm pretty sure the first one is a cleaning brush for the barrel of a rifle. No idea on the second.

The bottom one looks like some kind of small filter, the bit on the side looks to be a handle , perhaps for lifting out
