Found this in the same area I found a war of 1812 button, but I have no idea what it could be.
It looks to be made of lead its about as big as a dime and has a smashed down post with a rusted piece of metal on it.

Not sure, but it looks like it could be a date nail from a railroad tie. That's a WAG.
