Is it bronze/copper? The fact the two pieces don't seem to be a perfect match is making me think this relic is of older time period (medieval/roman). What's your feel on age of the piece?

Could be a leg/handle tip of sorts, but don't see how the pieces would have been attached. Opening at both end of the piece also somewhat unusual for the mold idea.

i think it's brass and probably no older than georgian as i have never found anything older in my area!

i just don't know why it would be in two pieces, and what held them together :-\

Georgian period is still old in my :read2:

Make some cookies or chocolate tops with the mold for snacks for your next hunt with Crusader and see what he thinks :D

I agree the attachment method is puzzling ???

I have to be careful where I invite him with his new weapon of choice, I know how deadly it is. He also hunts like my Dad, plods along with a few OK/average finds, but over times stores up the points in readyness for something outstanding. He must be due one of these special moments, so I will keep him at arms length. ::)

no idea on the drawer knob thing :help:
