Found this yesterday at an old barn. I'm thinking it has something to do with farm Equipment. It's iron, 8" long, 3" wide. Comes to a point at one end.

It is most likely a Sickle Knife Guard for an old Horse Drawn Mower. I am pretty sure on that.

Just in case anybody here is unfamiliar with the farming hay-harvest equipment called a sickle-bar mower, here are some illustrations. It is a version of mower but it's not for lawnmowing... it mows hay or tall grass in a farmfield.

Not all sickle bar mowers are that large or for hay, Gravely made a walk behind sickle bar mower for homeowner use in smaller fields.
