I found this item the other day. It appears to be made of lead. and has a small hole a base, which appears to have been used to attach it via nail or screw, perhaps to a pole. I believe it maybe tip to a flag or company regimental banner. It was found in and area known to have been a training camp during WW II. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

If the bottom is hollow, and made of brass, I'd say it looks like a tip from a flag pole.

Psgen,Can you post a pic of the bottom end? From this pic it looks like a carved bullet to me aswell.

It looks like the point to a military "guidon." The staff is wooden and the tip is most always brass, the base would have a sharper point for sticking into the ground on into a holder.
