A co workers father dug these back in the 1940's out of a cave. He brought them to me to see if I could help identify them. I am clueless, I have never seen anything like these. He said they was crossed like they are in the picture when he dug them out of the ground. The tops look like they are made of brass and was made by hand not a machine. Any suggestions? Hey Confederate74, I see them described on line as Vintage Brass Skewers, as in "shish kabob" BBQ skewers. Weird where they ended up and why! Happy Hunting, Sub 8-)

Wow, that is wierd. I wonder how they ended up in a cave?....lol Of course the father could have been a little exaggerate on his story telling to his son.....lol Thanks for the info, I will pass it along.

Yes these are kebab or as we call it in Greece "souvlaki" skewers. I think someon had a cave bbq and forgot a couple back there.
Must have been a really dry cave for them not to show any oxidation...
