Was found very near an old foundation that was built in the gold rush 1850's and burned down in the 1910's. But was up in an a wooded area where hunters have been.

The metal feels as heavy as gold for its weight but appears to be sterling in color. On the CTX3030 it rang in at 12-20 (well below silver and more in the range of gold or platinum). Looked at lots of Chinese symbols and it's really close to "Clarity" but not exact.

Any ideas or opinions? Thanks

Modern costume jewelry. The Chinese kanji character represents 'clarity'.
