Sorry, less than 3/4 of an inch. it has a little bow to the back of it. rung up in the higher end of my AT Pro. 80s plus.

If it's lead, it's probably a seal. Need more info, magnetic? etc.

I believe your right, I think it's a Civil War era Railroad Boxcar Seal. I can see what I think is a small wire coming out of the side of it. I found five rail road spikes tons of big Pieces of heavy metal, a pocket watch and a great old pad lock at the same location. I am guessing the small piece of wire inside it is attracting the magnet. It is just exough pull to old on it.
