Found today, I thought at first it was a steering wheel off a old toy until I cleaned it up. Now I havent the slightest idea. HELP. I think it may be cast out of brass. Thanks alot. HH

You're probably right about the knob thingy, but I remember having a little whistle when I was a kid about a hundred years ago. A wheel like that was on the inside and spun real fast when you blew on it. It didn't whistle but made a whizzing noise. Thanks for the memory. Monty

I agree to a degree -
my challenge is the length of the threaded barrel - seems like its a bit long and would accept a long threaded stud
Meaning, the pull is set up for some pulling weight
