Does the groove on what looks to be the poll end have pecking or is it natural? It looks like a large Celt or maybe a Digger/Hoe of some kind. Interesting looking piece, that's for sure.

It's almost fossil like. It came out of the bank with shale.
But found flint chips and fcr. It's a little over 2 inches.

Whoa, my bad. I never even looked at the ruler on the side to see how big this piece was. I was thinking it was huge, like 6 or 7 inches long. Being that small I doubt it's a Hoe and more than likely might be a natural stone.

Haha.... It came out of a ramp where they poured a concrete
slab then pushed it down the old rock bar that starts to come
out of the bank. It's a very symmetrical stone with a very slight
groove. The other end almost looks like a mold line.

Ha Ha, I never noticed the ruler either. I vote natural rock now :D

DZ,

I have found a little thing about half the size of yours. There was no way I was gonna throw it back down. Maybe yours is what mine is , whatever that may be!

Afternoon,

LOL, that is exactly what I was thinking. Arm off a doll. Could be something else though...interesting...definately man made.....how old is the question.

I think I see a real mold line there in the second photo
to the right edge and it looks like porcelain. Same idea
I had, a miniature porcelain doll or penny doll arm.
