Not my area of Expertese, But

are you sure it's a Rock ?

It reminds me of Bone by the shape.

or something Molded (Clay ?)

Is it Heavy ?
 

it feels like a rock ..... definitely not clay.
weight seems kind of rock-ish.

I would guess was a rock composed of different materials.
One harder one softer then eroded by wind or water.

It looks like a cast of a hole or a burrow filed with minerals to me.
 

We have many of those (or ones that look similar to yours) in my area.
A State Geologist told me that they were sediment of a dried up sea or lake bed. If you are ever around a dried up pond or lake that is all cracked up, check it out, I think he is right.
