found this today on a river bank. it wasnt deep only couple inches. i dont think its anything special but im just trying to get ideas of what it could be off of. when i first dug it i thought it was just a rail road spike. but after cleaning it up a little bit it was a bracket of some sort attached to a piece of wood. i live in an old town and my neighbors house use to be a stagecoach house. the wood is extremely brittle and the iron piece had clumps of rocks attached to it. it looked to be in the ground for a long time.
im not looking for a "what is it" because i would assume it could be off anything. barn door, building, who knows. but whats your thoughts?
