Found it at a beach in the water while visiting the KEYS,was so encrusted with salt I used CLR on it when I got back to canada to dissolve the salt . just a souvenier ? replica ?

I can't help with the ID, but can you give us all the details? Diameter, thickness, weight and is it magnetic? Can you tell what type of metal it's made from?

I should add that there are known conditions(gold nuggets)where gold can take on a surface amalgum and appear almost any color.....time to have your coin tested asap.weight indicates silver..what is size referance to u.s.coin?if its not gold it may be replica
