Any Idea On This Steampunky Looking Thing?? What's It Off Of?

Found this last summer, just can't place what it was off of. No markings or patent dates or nothing. The collar which is covering the end of the shaft, which is threaded with a nut on it, is ornate...looks old. The pointed end is threaded too and even has some reeding for traction, so something must have gone on that part of the shaft that could be removed, replaced or whatever. By the way, when I cleaned this up, i put it in a tub of vinegar with a bunch of other copper and brass items...I sort of got lazy and let it stew for a long time. Finally, after I decided to work on everything, I realized that everything naturally electroplated everything else. So, that's why this thing looks the way it does.

Thanks for looking, any suggestions appreciated.

looks like a drawer pull missing the wooden knob.

Well, that was easy lol. That has to be what it is. Thanks Mud Hut.

Was there a reason why the threaded end was that long? I mean the part that goes into the drawer itself? This is at least three inches long...were the panels of Victorian style drawer faces that thick?

I take that back, I looked at mine again and measured the space between the collar and the nut, it's only about 1.25". Nevermind...I'm learning all sorts of things lol. Derp!
