Hey all.. Can anyone shed some light on this odd little piece? Has nice shape to it. The feet look like paws? Think it's lead. Joe

Don't know what it came from, but I can tell you is that it is hand forged, and
that it was part of a wooden item. Although the wood is rotted away now, that
was some type of early "rivet" or fastener.
