Found this last week pretty deep on civil war battleground property(privately owned). It's about 14 inches and obviously is charred from a fire it was next to a charred partial horseshoe. Was wondering if this is civil war related??

Is that a hole through it near top?
That could have held a ring and made it a picket pin. Possibly Reb type.

No hole at top although it does look like a pocket pin or tent stake. It's actually 9 3/4 inches. Thanks
