Never heard of the DRS 3D so figured others may not as well. So I pulled this from their site (DRS 3D STEALTH SCANNER). I found a few sites selling this puppy for $5,800...
Our 3D STEALTH SCANNER is a world premiere. It’s the first “invisible” device that allows you to find cavities, voids, tunnels and metals up to several meters below your feet. It also features a long range mode that allows to step in the direction of strong electromagnetical field disruption up to 50 meters around. It includes 8 super geophysical sensors (SGS70) that fit in a jacket. Everything is controled by a tablet PC. It’s very easy to operate as only 1 button is required to perform ground scanning in all 3 modes. Voids and metals appear in real time on the tablet PC, no need for a remote computer to analyse data.
Perhaps good for bottle diggers (who try to find disturbed underground outhouse pits, trash dumps, etc...). But, assuming you're looking for large metal items (caches), then why not just get a 2-box detector ? Like the TM 808. For a microwave oven sized object, it will reach that 3 to 5 ft. deep with ease. For a jar sized object, you could get 3 ft. with ease, etc..... And they naturally reject (don't see) anything smaller than a soda can sized object. Hence the perfect machine for big-game hunting.
Only good if you are looking for larger deep treasure or caves or voids. Part of the reason Americans don't get this kind of technology is because in part are coin and cache minded. Go to Peru and you open up a whole new world to treasure hunting and then jackets like this make sense.
