Howdy all.... I dug this old fork up out of a privy pit in Southwest MI. years ago. I just re-found it yesterday and am now curious if anyone can ID an age. I didn't know what to soak it in properly so I put in a bowl of vinegar for 24 hrs. It appears to be copper when I rinsed it off a few minutes ago but not 100% sure. I can't make out any markings yet on it or writings yet. Any ideas of household items to soak it in to do a better job...? Thanks for any info all.

I've got a few spoons with that handle pattern . Probably late 1800/early 1900s. The name on back of handle can tell you more if you can clean it to see it better .
I'll go scrub a bit more and see if I can see something then. I can't even find another online to match mine yet. Thanks. What does yours say...?

I can't read mine either a few letters and and 07 at end which I assume might be date 1907?

Plain handle fiddlebacks are circa 1910-1930.
