Found this on a site near a civil war railroad. It appears to be brass and weighs almost 20lbs. It is squared on one end and kinda beveled on the other. I am guessing some type of railroad piece but know idea what it is. I could not find any writing on it or any way for it fasten to anything else. It is rounded concave on one side and flat to angled on the other. Any ideas? Brass buckle was there too and is in the picture as a size reference. Wow! Thanks! I am impressed. I never would have figured that one out. It will be a solid part of my workbench now. Makes a great small anvil. Thanks again!!
