20130316_221505.jpg is a shiny, not sure if gold the back has design with the three dots, and it goes inward with a bent loop.

It is a Civilian-clothing "Fashion" button, apparently with actual gold gilt (plating) on its brass front. From your description saying the back "goes inward with a bent loop" it sounds like a 2-piece brass button , which means it is no older than the 1830s, but also could be from the 20th-Century. Need to see at least two well-focused closeup photos of its back to determine its age.
