I found both of these under an old gravel road about 8" in northern Illinois. The watch was in three pieces with a strap (band) holder on one end. It looks old but there is no name that I can find and the body is solid. the buckle has the pin that's frozen in position. Any info on the date of these or any other info is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. HH
P.S. I don't know what the metal composition is(no VDI on my detector) but they both came up as coin on my detector so I'm assuming brass and or copper. I also cleaned them up a bit before posting.

Nice finds. That watch does look very old. How old, I haven't a clue, but it's cool anyway.

The buckle is iron & is no more than 100 years old

I believe wristwatches did not catch on here until the 20s. Not that they were not available. So if I had to guess I would say 20s-30s. If you can get the back off, that would help id'ing and dating it. Nice finds.

Looking at the nickel beside the watch it occurs to me that the watch is very small, possibly a ladies time piece? Monty
