Any help with artist info

Hey man! Where you been?

This piece is a Chinese or Japanese traditional style watercolor mountainscape - with the obligatory monks walking the precarious path to the temple.

My concern about it is that the signature is in Romanized characters - not kanji. To my mind that means it isn't very old or it's a knock-off or both.

My first reaction was the signature said "Tony". But it could easily be "Jong".

I didn't find any pieces with similar content. But it would look great in my office.

Can you confirm the company name? Weak strike is hard to read.

At least you know it is an original piece.

Found them. Still in business in City of Industry, CA. They assembled the canvas. No real help on dating the pieces.

Sonia Gil Torres
This listing has paperwork that tells a bit about her: https://www.etsy.com/listing/516482659/vntg-floral-painting-by-sonia-gil-torres
as does this eBay listing (don't get your hopes up on the asking price, her paintings have failed to sell for far less): https://www.ebay.com/itm/SONIA-GIL-...869268?hash=item19fd5c5594:g:V7QAAOxy4dBRmzW~
But if you watch the Goodwill site you'll get a fine deal since they haven't figured out what her name really is: https://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Zonig-Gil-Terry-Asian-Landscape-Oil-Painting-33693099.html
