Hi -
I'm at a loss. Last weekend I helped a guy pull his Land Rover out of the mud and my platinum wedding band slipped off my finger. It seems that doing a good deed cost me $500, and the loss of a family keepsake. The easy fix would be to give up looking for it and just go buy another... well, I really don't want to do that seeing that this band has more than just monetary value - it was my Grandfather's. I have visually looked around the area numerous times with no luck. The area is actually pretty small - the guy got stuck about 10 yards from the road - so the overall search area is about 15 yards long and 20 feet wide. By the time I acquire and learn to operate a metal detector I fear that the construction going on in that area will bury it forever.
My last resort is to offer a reward to the person that finds it. I'm thinking $100. I'll even pay $50 if we cannot find it. My guess is that we could find it in less than 30 minutes.
If I'm violating the board rules or Cache Hunting ethics, I apologize. I just want to find my wedding band
If you know of anyone that would like to help find my wedding band, and lives in the Carrollton / Frisco, TX area, please contact me at ntex@yahoo.com
Thank you.
