I’ve searched the Red Book Guide to Civil War Tokens and cannot find this.
Any help is greatly appreciated

A morsel of information regarding your token from another board that might aid in your research:

My thanks to David Schenkman of the ANA who provided this info:

" The eagle die was used in conjunction with at least three other dies, including yours. Most commonly seen is one with the eagle in combination with a die which depicts a warship and the word VIRGINIA above. Although it has been attributed as a military token, I'm 100% sure that it was issued for the 1907 Jamestown Exposition. Another combination with the eagle die is a die which has (if my memory is correct) the dates 1806 and 1906."

Interesting piece. Where did you find it?

The only 1806 US centennial celebrations I can find are:

Pike's Peak (In 1806 Zebulon Pike was the first explorer to attempt climbing what we now call Pike's Peak)

Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery (ended in 1806)

Your thinking along the same lines as me, but would they have done a token for that event??

Yes. I found tokens for 100th commemoration of both Pike's Peak and Lewis & Clark. But none match the OP's token.

It seems odd to me that someone would take the time and incur the expense of making a generic token like this...

Why no mention of the person or event being honored? :icon_scratch::dontknow:
