Any guesses?

I've never seen anything like it, could it be a meteorite?

Those striations suggest it was stretched while it was cooling. Being magnetic and not oxidized, it may be iron with enough nickel to keep it from rusting. Is there a foundry nearby? If I were to find something like this not near a foundry or dump, I'd toy with the idea if it being a meteorite.

No there isn't any foundries that I'm aware of, I posted it in the meteorite section as well hoping someone might know. Earlier I brought it to my local coin store to see if he had any idea since they deal with metals, he had no clue as to what type of metal it was. He scraped it on a testing rock and tried tossing some acid on the streak and the acid didn't react at all. Funny you brought up nickel moonrover because I found a few nickels in the area and that soil was very harsh to them, turned them almost a rust color, this item had no tarnish, this is literally how it came out of the ground. All I did was wash the dirt off under water.

Was it near mulch? Not sure the type of metal but I have seen metal that got in a wood chipper and came out looking like that.
